I am a registered, professional engineer, living and working in southeast Texas, but have enjoyed the art of photography since my early college days. I became fascinated with the camera’s ability to capture a brief moment in time and record that instant for others to enjoy. Hungry for knowledge, especially the technical aspects of how things work, I accumulated a personal library of photography reference books, but never pursued formal artistic training. Instead, armed with what others describe as my “keen eye”, technical background, and love of the outdoors and nature, I strive to create unique works that leave viewers wondering “How did you do that?” or “How did you come up with that idea?”

Many of my photographs require days (or weeks!) of preparation and planning prior to releasing the shutter, followed by numerous hours of post-processing to make everything look “just right”. Most of what you see on this site is captured totally in-camera. In fact, I consider it a compliment when viewers insist an image is “Photoshopped”.

I have recently begun displaying my art at juried, fine art shows in the southeast US. Visitors to my booth often describe my work as “unique”, “amazing” and even “magical”. I hope that you share these thoughts. Thank you for visiting!
